If I have to write something...
You know what F I N E stands for? Freaked out, Insecure, Neurotic, Emotional. And that’s usually how most people are feeling. Fine is such a generic word, I suppose. You’re feeling like crap and it shows, so the people around you, whether they know you or not- think it’s their business to ask you what’s wrong. And you, feeling like crap, don’t want to tell anyone, let alone complete strangers. So what’s the response you give them? “I’m fine.”
Obviously you’re lying, and hoping that the people will take the hint of what you’re thinking, but if you’re lucky- the people who asked you- are your good friends. And then you can’t get off the hook with a ‘fine’…they know you’re lying!
They ask again and still, you answer, “I’m fine!” But what has to be done to get them off your back? To either tell them, or freak out on them which makes you feel even worse.
But why can’t people just stay in their own business, and why has it become custom to say that we need to “share each other’s burdens”. You know what kind of life your friends have…do you REALLY want your problems to add to that?
Maybe I’m just being pessimistic….and me. I hate telling people the blood it wrong with me, because one, it prolly doesn’t even have to do with them, and two, if I wanted to tell them- they wouldn’t have to bloody ask!
Whoa…I’m getting ahead of myself and my bad attitude it taking over. I better go before I insult anymore people.
